Obituary of Andrew J. Hunt Jr.

Andrew J. Hunt Jr., 88, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2019 at the Glendale Home after a brief illness. Born in Wickliffe, Kentucky he was the son of the late Andrew and Boka Hunt. He grew up on the family farm in Wickliffe and was a 1948 graduate of Wickliffe High School. After high school Andrew proudly defended his country in the Army during the Korean War. After his time in the service he went on to obtain a degree from St. Louis College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1955. Andrew was a pharmacist for many years for Walgreens and retired after 25 years as a pharmacist at OSF Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana, Illinois. Andrew married his first wife Bette Hunt in 1956 and were married until her passing in 1988. He married his second wife Koralie in 1990 and were married until her passing in 2017. After her passing, he moved to Coburg Village in Rexford, NY from Illinois in 2017 to be closer to his daughter. Andrew was an avid runner, reader and baker. Above all he cherished the time he spent with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Kathleen (Stephen) Arthur along with his grandchildren Matthew (Mary), Sean and Patrick (Kaitlyn) Arthur and his great granddaughter Anna Lee Arthur. He is also survived by his sisters Patrice (Bill) Ponder and Judy (John) Johnson as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wives, he was predeceased by his brother Harry “Paul” Hunt.

At this time no funeral services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made in Andrew's name to the American Cancer Society 1 Penny Lane Latham, NY 12110.
