One of my earliest memories of Amy was back when I was 7 years old. Maryl and I became fast friends as we both had the love of horses in common and Amy let us play together and use our imaginations. She fostered forward thinking. She fostered hard work. She fostered experiencing life no matter what. Most of all she fostered kindness to all and great love and compassion to her family and friends. Her persona was always one of warmth and her passing will leave a void no other woman (well except for maybe her clone daughter) will ever be able to fill, in my opinion. I know she is watching over you all as an Angel in Heaven. Take comfort in the fact that one day there will be a great reunion of you all!! Rest in Peace Amy, you did the work of many of earth and I am grateful to have been able to be humbled in your presence.

To Amy's family, I extend my heartfelt condolences. I sang with Amy for several seasons in the Mohawk Valley Chorus. We also had a mutual friend, Barbara Marczak, who was a College Singer friend of mine from Cortland. I recall Amy's smile, wit, and spirit. Her lovely soul came shining through whenever you talked to her. She will be fondly remembered.

I was blessed to have spent time with my dear college friend, Maryl (Amy's daughter) and several other close college friends (we call ourselves the ICJugs- of course, suggested by Amy) at Paul and Amy's incredibly beautiful Adirondack property in the Fall of 2014. We were able to spend time with this amazing couple, with equally amazing and endearing stories. It was so obvious how much they loved each other even after so many years of marriage. My heart aches for this family and my hope is the wonderful memories created during Amy's life offer some level of comfort at this very difficult time. I'm sending constant prayers and love to your family, Maryl. Blessings, my friend. xoxo

I chose the baseball bat and glove as I had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Paul and Amy at Wolf Pond. Paul shared with us the beautiful and fun story of how they met and it was love at first sight when he saw his lovely Amy. Love to all of you and RIP Amy⚾️

Amy and I taught first grade together for 5 years in the late 70's and early 80's. I was a young, inexperienced teacher, who benefited from Amy's teaching expertise which she so generously shared. I learned so much from her, and I know that she positively changed the lives of many, many students. Amy was a master at her trade, but also exhibited the compassion and warmth that so many students needed. Amy also took a personal interest in me, and it was bittersweet when I started my family and was transferred to another building. Over the years, although we did not stay in close contact, I always rejoiced when I looked through my mail and recognized her Christmas card from the unique and beautiful handwriting on the envelope. Now, I am a retired teacher, older than Amy was when we first became friends. She taught me a great deal about life, about kindness, and when I think of her I always think she was the definition of "grace". I know her family will always remember the wonderful life they shared with her. We all will miss you, Amy. Thank you for making this world a better place.
