Obituary of Patricia Ann Klotz

Patricia Ann Klotz, 81, passed away in the company of her family on January 28, 2016. Born on February 20, 1934 in Phoenicia, New York, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Stewart. Patricia was a graduate of Saratoga High School and went on to continue her education at the Ellis School of Nursing in Schenectady, becoming a registered nurse in 1954. Following her education she married her beloved husband Theodore H. Klotz, Jr. on April 3, 1954 at the Glens Falls Presbyterian Church. Patricia was a faithful member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Glenville and enjoyed playing bridge with neighborhood friends. While raising her family, Patricia became a cardiac care nurse at Ellis Hospital, retiring in 1996. Patricia loved quilting, knitting and gardening all her life. She also found joy attending her children's and grandchildren's sporting and music events. She especially loved spending time on Cape Cod, eating oysters and watching the sunset from South Sunken Meadow beach with her husband and family around her. Patricia was quiet and reserved by nature, yet her actions spoke louder than words. The love she had for her family created a bond that will survive her passing and will give them comfort always. Patricia is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Theodore Klotz, Jr. of Glenville, her children Deborah (Thomas) Savoy of Charlotte, NC, Rev. Peter Klotz Sr. of Malta, NY, Cathy (Alfredo) Cardillo of Guilderland, NY, Elizabeth (Allen) Kummu of Clifton Park , NY, James (Emily) Klotz of Schenectady, NY and Jane(Andrew) Bonichi of Rexford, NY. Additionally, her 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, her brothers Charles (Lea) Stewart of Scarborough ME, Robert (Marie) Stewart of Queensbury NY and her sister Beth (John) Hartnett of Canandaigua, NY as well as many nieces and nephews also survive.
