Bye, Helen! You're missed already. But you have taught teenagers, so you have nothing left on earth or in heaven to be afraid of.
"Well done, good and faithful servant; now enter into the kingdom of My Father..."

To the Smrstik Family:
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Mrs. Smrstik was one in a million. I got to know her through ICC, and always knew I'd have a friendly face up at the high school. She was a great mentor and friend, and she will be dearly missed. I was lucky to have the opportunity to look up to her in the high school program at ICC, and she always made me feel loved and welcomed.
Please know that your mom/wife was loved by everyone she touched, because of the love she gave to others. She will be deeply missed, but know also that she's smiling down on all of us right now.
Best,
Kelly Graham

My thoughts and prayers are with Aunt Helen, and the rest of our family. We all know how truly wonderful Aunt Helen was, and that the gap she's left can't be filled. I'm grateful, however, for the time I did get to spend with her and the impact she had on my life. He warmth, sense of humor (read: Janega sarcasm), and patience were virtues that I strive to emulate. I'm so lucky and grateful to have had her in my life. Miluji tě teta.
Love to everyone from London.

Mrs. S was one of those teachers that stay with you into your adulthood. I was very sad to hear of her passing, she was such an influential part of my adolescent life. I will always remember her. Rest in peace, Mrs. S

In the 15 years I worked at BHBL, Helen was a constant presence of positivity. I was able to speak to her at length this summer which reinforced for me what a truly amazing individual she was. She cared about kids and dedicated her life to supporting them both in school and outside the classroom. Helen was a class act, loved her husband and family, made a huge impact on people's lives and will be truly missed in this world.
