Obituary of Alice Dolores Whittam

Alice D. Whittam, 87, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home October 23, 2016. Born in Amsterdam, she was married to Herbert C. Whittam until his death in 1988. Alice lived in Scotia and had been employed for Lawless Containers. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church. Survivors include her son, Herbert C. Whittam III of Niskayuna; three daughters, Teresa (Donald) Morris of Johnstown, Helen (William) Ovitt of Mayfield and Lisabeth Whittam of Rotterdam. Alice is survived by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She leaves behind her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chester and Lisabeth Whittam. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10 am at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to call on Saturday prior from 9-10 am. Entombment Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
