Obituary of Marianne Culihan

Marianne Culihan, 49, of Glenville New York, passed away on November 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Marianne was born in Albany, New York to Michael and Jacqueline Russell. She went to high school at Bishop Scully in Amsterdam, New York and graduated in 1985. She went on to earn a degree in nursing from the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as the Director of Nursing for several Vermont and New York nursing homes for 12 years, then transitioned to the employ of state and Federal agencies charged with regulating nursing facilities. Marianne devoted her career to insuring the comfort and care of those who could not care for themselves. Marianne was a caring mother and is survived by her sons Shane Culihan, Kyle Culihan, Troy Culihan and daughter Hailey Culihan, all of Glenville, N.Y., her husband John Culihan of Glenville, her brother Keith (Annmarie) Russell of Ivoryton Connecticut, her parents Michael and Jacqueline Russell of Sprakers, N.Y., aunt Anne (Kenneth Nerbak) Cantafio of Ft. Myers, F.L., and uncle James (Isabelle) Mayer of Glenmont, N.Y.. Visitation will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville on Tuesday November 8, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm. Burial will take place on Wednesday November 9 at 10am at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenridge Rd., Glenville.
