Obituary of Ethel "June" Hallenbeck
Ethel June Hallenbeck, 91,"Non", passed into heaven just shy of her 92nd birthday on November 23rd 2017. June was born in Wilton NY on November 25th 1925. June was predeceased by her loving parents Henry and Ethel (Dodge) Griffin, her loving husband Charles Hallenbeck in 2009,to whom she married on February 1, 1992. Predeceased also by her brother Elmer Griffin, and sisters, Nellie Jordan, Marjorie Howe and Lorraine Gordon. June was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Glenville and the Scotia-Glenville seniors. She was a wonderful artist and musician and a published poet. During her 91 years on this Earth she touched the hearts of many people. Her family and friends were blessed to have had her loving presence in their lives. She will be dearly missed by all of them. Survivors include her two loving daughters, Carol (Charles) DeMars Sr., of Queensbury, Cynthia (Robert) Flaherty, of Glenville; two stepsons, Kevin Hallenbeck, (LV) and Keith (Linda) Hallenbeck , Ohio. Beloved sister of Elsie Bowman, Glens Falls. 7 beloved grandchildren: Charles DeMars jr., Carissa Williams of Queensbury, Brian (Joy) Flaherty and Brandon (Casey) Flaherty of Rotterdam; Kevin(Brandi) Hallenbeck jr., Leila Hallenbeck, Kirsten (Austin) Cooner . 12 beloved great-grandchildren, Jozlyn Flaherty, Crystal Wood, Sabrina DeMars, Samantha Pregent, Mikaela DeMars, Mikenzie DeMars, Michael Williams, Marissa and Mikayden Talback. Hunter, Hanna Hallenbeck. 5 great great grandchildren in Aubrey, Trinity, Serenity, Natalie, and Joey. Many loving nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved dog, Babi. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 AM with a calling hour preceding from 10-11 AM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville. Interment will follow at Park Cemetery in Scotia.
