Obituary of Dean Watson

 Dean Brian Watson, 48, of Cohoes, NY passed away with his loving sister by his side on December 29, 2017 after fighting a courageous 4 month battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Born and raised in Schenectady NY, Dean was predeceased by his parents, Richard C. Watson and Rosemary L Watson and his sister Elaine J Watson.


Dean was a graduate of Mohonasen High School's class of 1988 and a proud veteran of the United States Army (Troop 413).
 

Survivors include his brothers, Gary( Lisa ) Watson of Austin Texas and Kenneth( Ann ) Watson of Malta NY.  His sisters, Gail( Fred ) Preuninger of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Mary Ann Watson of Rotterdam NY. Dean leaves behind his nieces, Barbara ( Bill ) Prenuninger,  Kristen ( Matt ) Lombardi, and Christina Nash; His nephew, Ted Prenuninger, several great nephews and a great niece.  
 

Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 12th 6pm to 8 pm with a Memorial Service held on Saturday, January 13th at 11 am at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. Interment with full Military Honors will be bestowed on Monday, May 21st, 10 AM at the Gerald B.H.  Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville NY.


The family would like to extend appreciation to the Medical Staff at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center for the care Dean received in his final months.
