2020 has been hard on everyone, especially the world's children. Never before have we lived through such an intense change in our normal routine. There has been tremendous loss in New York State and around the world, COVID-19 has changed lives everywhere. The lives we can't help but think about are the children.

This summer should be called "the cancelled summer", kids aren't going to summer camp, birthdays, or vacations; recreation centers are closed and  human interaction is limited, among many other differences from normalcy. Looking at the negative impact which social isolation and disruption of daily life has had on children left us heartbroken.

Kids aren't able to be kids right now, and with their imagination dwindling we decided to bring back magic to them. Bring Back Magic was a successful & safe social distancing event with over 1,000 children in attendance. By the support of our community, business sponsors and rockstar volunteers, we were able to make this a FREE event filled with kid friendly treats, fair-like concession foods, gourmet treats, Disney DJ'ed music, photo souvenirs, goodie bags, and over 50 LIVE performers dressed as Disney characters and Marvel Superheroes. Thanks to all the guests who attended the event, we raised nearly $4,000 for 3 local not-for-profits: Things of My Very Own, The Animal Protective Foundation & Northeastern Regional Food Bank Backpack Program. We also teamed up with Immaculate Conception Church in Glenville to collect over 1,200 non-perishable food items for St. Vincent de Paul to feed the needy. Bring Back Magic boosted positivity and created thousands of smiles, and for that we are thankful for! Look out for us next year, and keep following the rainbows in this storm.
