Obituary of William Ziganto

 Mr. William Ziganto Sr., 80, passed away while undergoing surgery on July 27, 2018.
Born on August 1, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Turkovich) Ziganto.
Bill was raised in West New York, NJ where at 16  he graduated Salutatorian for Memorial High School's class of '54.


He went on to graduated Stevens Institute College in '58, attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from Villanova
with his masters in Mechanical Engineering.


 Bill married the former Ann Vignola, also of West NY, the ceremony held at Our Lady of Libera Church (June 18, 1960).
The family moved to Charlton, NY in 1976 where Bill was a (Gas Turbine) engineer for G.E. He was employed a total of 26 years at G.E, where  he enjoyed 
social memberships in the Elfun Society and G.E. Quarter Century Club.  

His beloved wife Ann predeceased Bill in 1997.
Bill was very organized and admired by his family for his genuine and kind personality.  He was proud of his children's accomplishments
and adored his grandsons.  Since a young man he was a rooter for NY GIANTS FOOTBALL ; a weather hobbyist, with various measuring equipment used over the years.


 He was predeceased also by his brother, John Ziganto.
Survivors include his daughter, Nancy (David) Russell, sons: William Ziganto Jr. and Steven (Deborah) Ziganto; his cherished grandsons, Jacob Nathaniel and Ethan David Russell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday (July 31) 7 PM in the Glenville Funeral Home chapel at 9 Glenridge Rd. Scotia-Glenville. Visitation will begin at 4 PM until the time of the service
for relatives and friends to call on the family.  Private interment. Online condolences may be expressed at GLENVILLEFUNERALHOME.COM.
