Obituary of Beverly Louise McLane

Beverly Louise Goodness McLane, Bev, joined her beloved husband Richard in eternal rest in the early hours of Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Kingsway Arms in Schenectady, NY, at 87 years old. Beverly was born in Schenectady, New York to Leonard and Florence Goodness and attended Draper High School.

She married Richard Jay McLane, and they had 4 children, Cathy (David Connelly/Ed Kaminsky), Susan, Michael (Linda Filkins) and Mark. Her son Mark passed away in infancy. She is survived by her children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and her sister, Myrna (Pierone/Ratcliffe). She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, who passed away in 1996 and her sister Harriet (Mason).

Beverly held various positions with the Niskayuna School system, Schenectady School system and Scotia-Glenville schools and enjoyed her interactions with the students immensely. She loved spending time with her family, gardening, singing in her church choir and spending time at “her” ocean in Cape Cod.

A Memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 8^th at the First Reformed Church, 8 N. Church Street, Schenectady, New York. Details are being arranged by the Glenville Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her memory.
