Obituary of Colleen M. Neuhaus

Colleen M. Neuhaus, 92, passed away peacefully at her home, October 1, 2018 in Ballston Lake.  Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Rose (Griesimer) Williams. A graduate of Draper H.S.’s class of 1945, she married George Neuhaus on June 29, 1947. The couple built their own home upon moving to Ballston Lake in 1970.  She was employed as a secretary at G.E.’s Large Steam Turbine office in Schenectady for over 27 years, from 1945 to 1972. 

 Colleen was a faithful member of O.L. of Grace Church for many years.  She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and camping. Predeceased by husband George,(September 10, 2014) also by a twin sister, Collette Reger, her sister, Rita Marshall, and her brother, Robert Williams.

Survivors include two sons; George (Darlene) Neuhaus of Clifton Park and Paul (Beverly) Neuhaus of Ballston Lake. Colleen leaves behind her step grandsons, Shawn Stekeur and Matthew Jordan.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, (October 7) from 2-4 PM in the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. On Monday (October 8), a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church, 73 Midline Rd. (Route 146A) in Ballston Lake.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
