Obituary of Linda A. Conover

Linda A. Conover, 76, passed away peacefully at home on November 8, 2018, sitting in her favorite easy chair. Born December 5, 1941 in Ilion, NY she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruth Kornbrust. Linda was a 1959 graduate of Ilion High School and a 1962 graduate of Utica College. She married her former husband Robert M. Conover on February 11, 1962. Linda spent much of her life in Streamwood Illinois, working in Purchasing at the nearby Jiffy Products home office. She moved back to New York in 1998 and worked for Strombecker-Esquire Toys in Amsterdam, until its closing. She spent the remainder of her career at Fortitech/DSM in Schenectady. She will always be remembered for being a fun loving mom, grandmother and friend who was always willing to help people. Linda enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader. She loved to shop, especially consignment shops, looking for bargains. Above all she loved her children and grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her children Tracy (Curt) Conover-Beck and Robert S. Conover; her grandchildren Shelby Conover, Benjamin Conover, Curtis Beck and Daniel Beck as well as great granddaughter Calianna Miles. She is also survived by her brothers Frederick (Gail) Kornbrust, Douglas (Karen) Kornbrust and George (Nora) Kornbrust and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at a time to be announced at Ft. Plain Cemetery.
