Obituary of John Leveillee

John “Jack” Leveillee, 75, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018. Born in Springfield, Massachusetts he was the son of the late Clarence and Eleanor Leveillee. A 1961 graduate of Forest Park High School in Springfield, John went on to continue his education at the American International College graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor’s degree. Jack proudly defended his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964, where he was stationed in Korea. He married his beloved wife Jeannette M. (Therrien) Leveillee in 1967 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Springfield, MA. Together they shared 51 wonderful years. John retired from General Electric in Schenectady after 38 years. John enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Lake George in Wales, MA. He could often be found spending time on his boat with his family. He was the former president of the Lake George Association.  Jack was also a member of the Schenectady Veterans of WWII Inc, the G.E. Quarter Century Club and a longtime member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Glenville. He also was an avid car enthusiast.  Above all, Jack loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

Survivors in addition to his wife Jeannette, include his children Lori (Tim) Szczepaniak, John (Erika) Leveillee, Lynn (Chris) DeLisle and Jeff (Cindy) Leveillee.  His grandchildren Lauren, Carly, Jake, Jesse, Anthony, Jaclyn, Nora and Nathan. John is also survived by his brother Paul (Carol) Leveillee and sister Claire Leveillee. He was predeceased by his brothers Neal and Alan Leveillee.

Calling hours for Jack will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 2-4pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 19,2018 at 10am at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road, Glenville.
