Obituary of Allison R. Tibbitts

Allison R. Tibbitts, 88, passed away peacefully at Ellis Residential Heath Care on December 26, 2018 with her family by her bedside. Born and raised in Rexford, NY, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ellen (Daniels) Williams. Allison was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School's Class of '48. She went to work a short while for G.E. She soon married Kenneth G. Tibbitts on December 16, 1950 where she was a stay at home mom, enjoyed cooking and took pride in the care of her home and yard.  The Tibbitts Family lived in Rexford for many years, where Kenneth owned and operated Kenneth G. Tibbitts Electric where Allison was bookkeeper. Allison was a longtime member of Rexford FD Ladies Auxiliary, loved the outdoors,what nature had to offer. and was especially fond of hummingbirds. Allison had many fond memories and often reminisced about old times.  

Her beloved husband Ken predeceased her in 2011. Survivors include her children, a son, Kenneth (Laurie) Tibbitts, a daughter, Kimberly (Kevin) Dunn; her siblings, brothers: Joseph (Ivy), Kenneth (Darlene) and James Williams; and two sisters, Shawn (Don) Schultz and Susie Williams. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Lindsey(Morgan) Tibbitts and Chloe(Andrea) Strohmeier; great grandchildren Lucas and Josh; her special niece, Amanda Aucompaugh. A special thank you for the excellent care provided to Allison by the Ellis Residential Nursing Home. 

Funeral services to be held on Wednesday (January 2) 1 pm at the Glenville Funeral Home,9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville., followed by committal services with interment 2:30 pm at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery.  Relatives and friends are cordially invited and may also call Tuesday (Jan. 1, 2019) at Glenville Funeral Home from 6-8 pm.
