Obituary of James Franklin Lynch Jr

James “Jamie” Franklin Lynch Jr., 46 of Lake George, NY passed away December 16, 2018 in Boulder, CO following a motor vehicle accident.

Jamie was born to Frank and Kathy Lynch August 31, 1972. He spent his childhood in Burnt Hills, NY and Graduated from Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake High School in 1990. He went on to work for the Lake George Parks and Recreation Department before starting his own business as a skilled painter and craftsman.

As a teen Jamie was a gifted skier with a knack for instructing and mentoring children. His keen intellect, creativity, unique ability for problem solving and vast practical knowledge allowed him the opportunity to compete in World Level Odyssey of the Mind and later to become a Regional, State and World level judge for the program. Jamie will be most remembered for his lifelong love of boating and Lake George. Tuning his boating skills at Harris Bay Yacht Club, he eventually became a member for 20 years. Above all, Jamie's charismatic personality brought him many long-standing friendships of which he will be deeply missed.

Jamie is survived by his parents, James “Frank” and Kathy Lynch of Burnt Hills, NY; Sister, Allison Kozel of Saratoga Springs, NY; Aunt, Susan Fitzgerald - Killeen (Rick) of Glenville, NY; Uncle's, Daniel Scales (Roberta) and Ted Scales (Karen) of Chicago, IL; Aunt, Sally Descisciolo (Frank) of Louisburg, NC; Great Uncle, Rev. Arthur Toole, as well as cousins, Ellen, Eric, Kelly, Robert, Ryan, Charlie, Jack and Nicole. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Robert and Jean Scales, James and Sadie Lynch.

Visitation to be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road Glenville, on Monday January 7th 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Burial at a later date at Pine View Cemetery Queensbury, NY
