Don was a wonderful man and we will truly miss him. He was always interesting to talk to and he had a great sense of humor. He was one of my father's close friends and his absence is felt by everyone.
It's a blessing that he had a long, active life and that he was a man of strong faith.
We look forward to the day when we'll see him again...

Don was like an older brother to me. As first cousins, living only five blocks apart on the north side of Syracuse, I spent most of my free growing up time with him and his brothers. Wonderful memories of playing baseball, street hockey, board games on the front porch abound. Don encouraged me to take risks and get into activities I might not otherwise have done, like joining the Boy Scouts, going away to camp while still a "Tenderfoot", riding a bike, learning to sail, an activity I've enjoyed my whole life, joining the Navy and so much more.
Don was generous with his time and abilities. When he visited us at our summer cottage, he was always looking for ways to help out or make a needed repair. As recently as a year ago Don was urging me again to file a report with the V.A. to obtain hearing aids. Little did I know that included a monthly pension for the disability he knew I had. Thank you Don for being there for me and so many others. You have blessed us with your life and being. Roger

It is with sorrow that I learned of Don's death. I have known Don for several years and know his community involvements with The Schenectady Rotary St. Andrew's Church and the Glenville Fish and Game Club. Don was a concerned and caring father for his four children. It was my pleasure to have worked closely with Don on several occasions. Thank you for the privilege of your life touching mine, Don. Rest in peace! In Christian Love, Carolyn Crawmer

Sad to hear of Don's passing. We knew each other early on as fellow Rotarians from the Schenectady Club and continued our friendship as we worked out at Physical Therapy Associates of Schenectady in Glenville. I always looked forward to shooting the breeze with him when we were together. He was a good man.
