I was so saddened to hear of Courtney's passing. I was her supervisor many years ago at the Center for disability services Watervliet home. She was just a young college student then. I remember her being such a sweet young lady. My prayers go out to get family.

I am very sorry for your loss and no words can make it feel better, but I want you to know how much I cared about and appreciated Courtney. She was married to my cousin John. She was kind to me in my time of need and wrote me cards and letters when I was a teenager. Her kindness made my dark days brighter.

Reflecting upon my fond memories of Courtney, I remember our meaningful conversations on her adoration for the love and joy she shared relevant to her family. You gifted us with a beautiful and loving person. You all were the warmth she brought into our lives at Empire State College. Each talk included both you, Elaine and brother JJ. She would beam with pride sharing your daily antics. Her eyes would sparkle each time she shared a photo of you. As one of many, I will always remember her multiple acts of kindness and beautiful smile. Your sorrow is shared. I offer my sincere condolences to you all.

I am so very sorry for your tremendous loss. I worked with Courtney at Empire State College. I helped hire her there and we became friends. We ran during our lunch breaks and hung out with our kids a few times outside of work. I always enjoyed talking with her. She was a beautiful soul, an amazing mom and had such a big heart for others in need. Praying for Elaine and Jay Jay and all the family during this very difficult time.

I worked with Courtney at SUNY Empire and there are many here thinking of her and her family this week and sharing their memories of her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and made many people laugh. All who knew her, know that her children meant the world to her. I can picture her smile and laugh I loved how she would come in proudly with a new style or look. Even through it all she kept her style and flare about her. She loved sharing stories and thoughts. She will dearly be missed. I will also carry on her torch! My sincere condolences to your entire family.

My heart breaks to learn of this news. Courtney and I worked together at ESC and shared many a laugh and often commiserated about parenting. I was just thinking about her about a week ago and wondering where life took her. She was a wonderful colleague and always looked out for students' best interest. My sincere condolences to Courtney's family. May you always carry her essence and spirit with you. Rest peacefully, Courtney.

I was close friends with Courtney at SUNY Empire, and unfortunately lost touch with her within the last two years. It’s been difficult processing her passing and my regret with the our lack of contact. My heart is with her beautiful children. I can’t imagine the pain they are experiencing. I will never forget the good times and will carry her torch. Love you, Court.

I use to share a cubicle wall with Courtney back when we were hired as academic advisors at ESC. I enjoyed having her as my office neighbor. She was always helpful, fun, entertaining, a wise-cracker and above all, a warm and caring individual.
Court-I will always remember you!

There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are with the untimely passing of the most caring and kind person to have entered our lives. Courtney’s commitment to my father’s care was outstanding and she will be sorely missed by us all. She had a special way with my dad and her presence in our home each week was always something my dad looked forward to. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her children and family.

I am so sorry for your loss. It's impossible to know when God wants us. How young she was and with cancer, it's a horrible fate. May she rest in peace. May her children find love and guidance from all of us in her church family.

My sweetheart you taught me so much about teenage girls. You taught me about wearing boyfriends boxers was all the rage in high school. I had the delight of watching you graduate from College, in CA, being a mom and so much more. I know my Grandchildren will have a very special angel watching over them. To all your families I will have you in my prayers. Till we meet again I will always have you in my heart. JOHN Jr. and Cheryl Savaria
