Obituary of Jeffery Mayo

Jeffery P. Mayo, 56, of Maple Avenue, passed away peacefully at his home May 16, 2013 with his family at his side. Born and raised in Shawmut, ME, he is the beloved son of David and Beverly Works Mayo. Jeffery graduated from Lawrence High School in Maine where he grew up. He married Geniene Bacon on March 30, 1985. Jeff worked as a machinist in Billerica, ME and for G.E. Company in Schenectady prior to his service for the last 15 years at ZAK Inc. in Green Island, NY. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hiking, fishing, hunting and camping. Jeff enjoyed the game of golf with his friends, and rooting for his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers.He was a communicant of Faith Baptist Church in Rexford.He is survived by his cherished wife of 28 years, Geniene Mayo, his loving daughters, Ashley, Chelsea and Lindsay Mayo all of Glenville; brothers Michael (Tina) Mayo of Canaan, ME, Stephen (Melanie) Mayo of Fairfield, ME, James Mayo of Benton, ME, Timothy (Karen) Mayo of Sidney, ME and Ronald (Heather) Mayo of Skowhegan, ME; sisters, Corrisann (Joseph) Vigue of Skowhegan, ME, Donna (Robert) Fortin of Winslow, ME and Mary (Brian) Wadleigh of Fairfield,ME. Surviving also are numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20, at 9:00 AM at Faith Baptist Church, 11 Glenridge Rd in Rexford. Calling hours Sunday 4 PM to 7 PM at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. Glenville. Contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, Helping Hands Fund, 11 Glenridge Rd. Rexford, NY 12148.
