Obituary of Rita L. Roberts

Rita L. Roberts from Glenville, New York passed away peacefully on September 5, 2019 at the Glendale Nursing Home. She was born on April 15, 1925 in Champlain, New York to John Beebe and Emma Guerin dit LaFountaine. Rita was the youngest of twelve children and was the last surviving sibling. Rita married Richard W. Roberts on April 7, 1945. She was a devoted wife and mother. Rita would light up the room with her smile. She loved to act silly and make people laugh. She left behind a lifetime of memories. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her. Meme will always be forever remembered by them.

Survivors include her daughter Carol (Roberts) Alger, grandchildren Tammy (Manuel) Salorio, Amanda (Norman) Rose, and Michelle Alger. Rita’s daughter-in-law, Patti Roberts, grandchildren Brian (Debbie)Roberts, Brandon (Jacklyn)Roberts, Courtney (Kevin)Tidd. Great grandchildren, Adam Salorio, Angelina and Aidan Rose, Jacob, Ana, and Sidney Alger, Jocelyn and Jasmine Roberts, Carson and Brooke Roberts and Celina Tidd. She is predeceased by her husband, Richard W. Roberts, son Michael G. Roberts and son-in-law, Jerry L. Alger.

Calling hours will be at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road, Glenville, New York on Friday September 13^th from 4 to 7 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 14^th at 9:00 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 400 Saratoga Rd, Glenville New York. Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Coopersville, New York on Monday, September 16^th at 12:00.  

The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff at Glendale Nursing Home. They were so passionate and caring that it gave Rita peace in her last journey of life. Her angel, Dru, Kathy, Doris, Sue, Pam, Heather, Maria and whomever the family did not mention we are grateful for what you have done for her.
