Obituary of Ellen C. Kuchenbecker

Ellen C. Kuchenbecker, 92, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2019 at the Glendale Home with her family by her side. Born and educated in Troy, NY she was the daughter to the late William and Sadie Randle. Ellen married her beloved husband Otto Kuchenbecker on February 14, 1947.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. In her younger years Ellen was an avid athlete and was also captain of her high school basketball team.   She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, writing poetry, animals and was a devoted Yankees fan. 

Above all Ellen loved the time she spent with her family. 

She is survived by her beloved daughters Susan Hall (Tim) and Terri Griesau (Richard) and her daughter in law Trenna Kuchenbecker. Ellen was the cherished grandmother to David Hall, Christopher Hall, Angie Freer (John) and Nathan Kuchenbecker (Sarah). She was also the great grandmother to Stella, Austin, Peyton and Cameron Kuchenbecker; Aaron, Stephanie and Lecia Freer.

In addition to her husband Otto, Ellen was predeceased by her son John Kuchenbecker and her brother William Randle (Nancy).

Calling hours for Ellen will be held on Sunday September 15, 2019 from 2-4pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road Glenville. Funeral services and burial will be private for the family at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ellen’s name may be made to the Animal Protective Foundation 53 Maple Ave Scotia, NY 12302.
