Lynn and family We all have lost a wonderful, caring, loving, compassionate and hardworking gentleman from our lives. A true friend. We are deeply saddened by the loss and will always cherish such wonderful memories we have of the many fun and often hardworking times we had with Don here at Crystal Bay Travel Park throughout the fall and winter seasons. I had the pleasure of knowing Don and Lynn while they enjoyed their winters at Crystal Bay Travel Park ..Don was so very active in volunteering for many important maintenance projects, . He was always such a pleasure to work with, such a sweet and caring man. I know how much his family and Fire Dept. service meant to him. Even though they left Crystal Bay a few years ago, I have thought of him often, and am saddened to know of his passing.

I would like to express my condolences from myself and my family. Donny was my Chief when I was in the Scotia Fire Department. He was well liked and respected by everybody in Glenville and Scotia. He and Bruce and Bob were best of friends. I was good friends with his son Tommy and did roofing work for all of his sons. I continue to see articles in the media about his son John, congratulations to all the Wayands, 5 Generations of Fire Fighters. Sincerely Paul Kaczmarek

My deepest condolences to Tom, Mark and the entire family. Don was a wonderful guy. I will always remember him as my first and the best Fire Chief I ever had the privilege of serving. He was a teacher and leader, but also a friend. His nature was humble, but he offered so much. I will never forget our Benson and Hedges connection in the late 80s. Again..my deepest sympathies to everyone.
