Obituary of Irene Latini

Irene F. Latini, 84, of Jacob St. passed away peacefully at her home May 20, 2013 with her family at her side. Born in Schenectady on November 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Kazimierz and Sofia Fall Pieciuk. Irene graduated from Nott Terrace High School and the Spencer Business Institute. At the age of 19 she took a job with the General Electric Company and was employed a total of 12 years. Irene married Gino J. Latini on August 3, 1963. Irene was an avid skier and was a member of the Tennis and Ski Club at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. She enjoyed crafts and was a skilled gardener. Irene was a member of Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church. Irene was predeceased by her brothers Edward and Chester Pieciuk. She is survived by her beloved husband Gino, her son, Eric J. Latini of Latham and a daughter, Lisa A. Johnson and her husband Kevin of Charlton; two grandchildren: Megan and Carly Johnson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday May 23, at 6 PM in the evening at Our Lady of Grace Church, 73 Midline Rd. Route 146A Ballston Lake. Visiting hours will precede the mass at the Church Thursday from 4-6 PM. Committal services with burial following will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, 2501 Troy-Schenectady Rd. on Friday May 24, at 10 AM. Memorial contributions may be made in Irene's name to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St. Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
