Obituary of Mary Zalucki

Mary J. Zalucki, 92, of Rexford, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on May 29, 2013. Born in Clifton Park on June 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Albert Rychcik and Lena Andrzejewski. Mary worked for the General Electric as a technician prior to her marriage to William Zalucki. After marriage, Mary took pride in becoming a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading and baking for family and friends. Mary was a long time member of St. Adalbert Church in Schenectady. She is survived by her beloved children, Kathleen (John) Mattice, Peter and Donald Zalucki. Mary is also survived by her granddaughter Kristen Mattice and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William, her daughter Linda Zalucki and her siblings Chester, Joseph, Charles, Helen Pachucki, Jessie and Ida Rychcik. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Monday June 3 from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville , followed at 10:30 AM by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of St. Adalbert, 550 Lansing Street, Schenectady with the Rev. Carl Urban officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family at the funeral home on Monday from 8:45am to 9:45am prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Rotterdam NY. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
