I just heard from a person at Saint Madeleine Sophie that Fran passed away. Fran and I worked at Boces together in the late 70s and early 80s. She was a mentor, a jokester, and a great colleague. Blessings to all of you on her passing. I am sure she will be watching over you and still giving you rules to live by. Jeanette May

So sorry to hear of Mrs. Y's passing. A beautiful lady inside and out. Thirty-five years later and I can still remember being a student in her class. She was definitely a force in making my life what it is today.

Mrs. Y was my Practical Nursing Instructor from 1990-1992, at BOCES. I know I would not be the Critical Care Flight Nurse I am today if it was not for her. She really cared for us like her own and gave me the foundation of being a great nurse. She had such a huge heart and she will be greatly missed. She left so much Of herself, as a nurse, with everyone of her students!
Thank you so much!! See you some day in heaven Mrs. Y!!
Sincerely,
Amy Praznik (Monini)

It is with a great deal of sadness that I see a true Nurse professional has passed. When our daughter went to vo tech for the nursing program. Mrs.Y was the first and ONLY one to keep Cori in line to complete the nursing program. Now THANKS to Mrs.Y Cori is a director of nursing at a local ctr. My first encounter with Mrs.Y was at Vo-tech when I would just show up & disrupt her class by walking in, she would ASSUME the position with hands in the air and against the wall. What a sight that was. Kids not sure what in hell was going on , me in cop uniform her with the glasses and the holy crap attitude. AHHH those were the days. To Mrs.Y's family have strength and knowledge that Mrs. Y is still in charge with dad and telling him what to do.
R.I.P. General Fran .
Brian Casey (The Cop) as she would call me & Cori Casey-Meservey (Proud R.N.) Thanks to General Fran

Joe, Bill and Steve: I'm saddened to learn of your family loss. Your mom was a big part of our lives growing up on Jersey Hill.
A mother is with you always...
First in her lifetime
Then forever in your memories.
