Obituary of Vona Panzl

Vona I. Panzl, 89, of Glenville, passed away June 7, 2013 at Saratoga Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Huntington, IN on February 21, 1924, Vona was the daughter of the late Harry and Bernita Mathias Tudor. She married Arnold Panzl on December 21, 1946 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Since the early 70's the Panzl's made their home in Glenville, NY. Vona worked at the Price Chopper Supermarket in Glenville for several years. She enjoyed meeting new people and was truly loved by all who knew her. Vona was a very self sufficient woman throughout her adult life. She would handle any task at hand. She maintained her home on Bellaire Drive following the death of her beloved husband Arnold in 1998. She is considered a 'classic lady' of her generation. She was a woman of deep faith and worshipped at Burnt Hills United Methodist Church. She was predeceased by her son Michael Panzl in 1966. Survivors include her sons Jim Panzl and his wife Donna of Broadalbin, NY and Paul Panzl of Seattle, Washington; her brother, Jerry Tudor of Fort Wayne, IN and Jeannie Klink of Nashua, New Hampshire. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend memorial services on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 11 AM at Burnt Hills United Methodist Church, 816 Saratoga Rd. (Route 50) Burnt Hills, NY 12027.
