My sincere condolences to the entire family for your loss of husband and father. I would like to say that I knew Jimmy earlier in my life when we were young boys we were friends and next door neighbors living in Steimetz Homes in Schenectady ( I believe this is the Jimmy Featherstone ) and Jimmy was 2 years older than I. Before I finish this story I'll tell you I wouldn't be alive today if it were not for Jimmy as it was one cold winter day we out front on a little hill sleigh riding I was around 5 in the year 1953 and Jimmy was around 7. I was going down on my sled at a pretty good clip heading toward the side street where we lived and all of a sudden out of nowhere Jimmy came up to my right side of the sled and pushed me off and my sled went out into the street when a car crushed my sled under the front tire. I can still remember me saying " hey " to Jimmy. All my life I still think back at that day Jimmy Featherstone saved my life. God blessed Jimmy with a great life as husband and father. I shared good times when I was in a trio playing bass with Jim in 1966. Even way back then he was a good guitar player, handling the lead and chords in style. He was always ready with a joke because of his quick wit. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Jim (III)! I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. I may know what you are going through as I lost my dad April 2019. Though we have not talked in a few years please know I always remember you as a stellar gentleman.
