I will miss Aunt Esther's smile and her love of life (and shopping). I was amazed that she could make phone calls even though she couldn't see because she memorized the numbers. Despite any physical problems, she was always upbeat. She kept up-to-date in things that were happening in the world. I learned to keep my cell phone with me when we talked so I could look things up because she kept asking me questions I couldn't answer, like names of movies that actors played in or their ages. Sometimes she could only remember part of her questions so I tried to fill in the blanks and figure out what she was trying to remember. We called it playing "What Am I Thinking Of?" Her inquisitive mind made her a joy to be around. She was the last of her siblings, surviving all 6 of them, and wondered why she was still here. I told her it was because so many people needed her. I miss her every day already.
