I would like to say that Mary Chirico was one of the most humble and most care giving individuals one could ever know in their lifetime. To know Mary was a honored privilege seeing how she unselfishly dedicated her "whole" life to her brother who needed "complete" physical assistance for close to 40 years. In her later years, she also took care of her mother, while still maintaining a full time job in Herkimer. To give you a better idea on only "one" of Mary''s ultimate sacrifices, I would like to share with you the following: Her days began by getting her brother Tony ready for school every day where he was a Guidance Counselor. She then drove to Herkimer with her mother who was also sleeping overnight with Tony and Mary because she didn't want to live alone in Herkimer. She then would drop her mother off at her house in Herkimer, go to work for a full day, pick up her mother and then drive back to Glennville to meet Tony when his school day had ended. She made this 150 mile round trip "every work day" for 2 plus years. She then made dinner for all, did the shopping, cleaning house, paying bills, etc., etc., etc. To me, and most other who really knew Mary, she was one of a kind and in a class by herself. She was, in my humble opinion, an ultimate "SAINT.." May she now NOW REST IN PEACE..................

My wife Dawn was a patient at Loving Home and knew Mary well. Our family always was pleased to see Mary while visiting Dawn and talked and sat with her many times. Mary always said "we have to go down". Wel,l dear soul Mary, you now assuredly have gone UP. Bless you.

My husband and I spent many wonderful summer days with Mary and A.C. I’ll never forget the fun and laughter we had, at her camp and also the home on Jane Drive. A lovely woman, gentle spirit, a big heart of gold, compassion for everyone she showed. She will be missed so much. Rest In Peace Mary. We love you and will cherish all the memories. Our deepest condolences to all the Chirico family. ❤️

Mary and I lived a few houses away. We became good friends both working at Library Bureau. We took our first flight (nervous wrecks) to go and visit Annie. We also played golf together after early Mass-first ones to tee off! She was truly a special person. My sincere and heartfelt sympathy to her family along with many thoughts. Jean(Adams) O’Connell
