My deepest sympathies to the family of my beloved friend Lily, who I worked with in Schenectsdy, NY. I lost touch with her after I went back to PI in 1980’s. I tried to call her several years ago, but even the publisher of her book refused to give me her number ! I am deeply saddened to hear that she has passed away; so is my oldest son who is her Godson.
I knew her sister Lourdes & their Dad (RIP).Eternal rest grant unto Lily & her departed family members O Lord & let Your perpetual light shine upon them!Llove & prayers, Nancy R.G. & family.

I first met Lilia and her sister Lourdes in Sept. 1967, when I arrived in Schenectady to work at the GE Research Center in Niskayuna. They lived in Sheridan Village across from my apartment on Rosa Road. She was very helpful in showing me around every corner of Schenectady and the capital district and she did this for every one that arrived from the Philippines. She was quiet and humble but always had a welcoming smile. We had many wonderful get-together with the local members of the Filipino-American community, among them were the Lirios, Banarias, Cosicos, Izzos, Frenchs, Rebanals and many others. I will always treasure those memorable events and wish her family my deepest sympathy for the loss of a good person with a big heart.
An old friend,
Relly Racela Browall

Lilly was a lovely person and physician who was a good friend and colleague, helping me to acclimate to the Ellis community when I first arrived in 1978. She always had a smile and a kind word to one and all, organized medical education for the community, and was always available to help out whenever needed. An excellent physician, a good friend, and a good soul, she will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace.

Lilly was an esteemed colleague of mine for over 30 years at Ellis Hospital. She was a medical pioneer and a founder of the very first Nurse Practitioner Course in the State of New York. She was in charge of medical education for the medical staff at Ellis. Lilly was a very modest human being who hid her accomplishments.
I found out by accident she once (and maybe more than once) published an article in PostGraduate Medicine. With her quiet demeanor and smile she exuded reassurance and confidence. Lilly was a highly respected physician and a good friend.
