William Feeney

Obituary of William P. Feeney

William “Billy” P. Feeney, 75, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2020. Born in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late William and Evelyn (Hisgen) Feeney. However, Billy was raised by his aunt Marie Hisgen. Billy was an avid sports fan. Every morning began with a cup of coffee and the sports page and each afternoon/evening ended with watching a game. Summer nights he could be found keeping the box score as he watched his beloved Yankees on the YES network. Winter Sunday’s were dedicated to Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers (his loyalty to Favre never wavered, even after retirement) and the NBA season meant purple and gold for his mighty LA Lakers. He also enjoyed his many years of helping at the Altamont Fair every summer with Marty’s Spaghetti House. Billy was very social and would look forward to the fair season all year long so he could see their returning customers. William’s family would like to thank his ARC family and the residents at 144 Snowden Ave, especially Laura and Rebecca, for the wonderful care he received while at Snowden Ave. In addition to his parents and his aunt Marie Hisgen, Billy was predeceased by his sister Georgianna Pierce and his brothers John Feeney (surviving Barbara) and Donald Feeney. Billy is survived by his sister and caretaker for over 40 years Nancy Milos (the late Robert), as well as three brothers, four sisters, 34 nephews and six nieces. Funeral services will be private for immediate family due to COVID-19. Billy will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. Memorial contributions in Billy’s name may be made to the Schenectady ARC, 214 State Street, Schenectady, NY, 12305.
