I knew EJ only through his attendance at St. Paul the Apostle Church, where I am a minister of the Holy Eucharist. In the few years I knew him, I quickly leanred that he was a true gentleman - faithful to his God and to his country, both of which he loved greatly. It was a great honor and privilege to have known, and been a friend of, E.J. Knapick. I will never forget him. Thank you God, for sharing this great man with all of us at St. Paul's.

EJ was a constant and enduring supporter of his fellow Veterans, always with a smile, a supporting hand, and endless energy. He always found time to chair one more event, participate on one more committee, or lead one more group. EJ was a tireless worker for vets along with my dad, Tiny Jackson. They both loved our country, were good old fashioned gentlemen and respected mankind. When I worked at the Colonie Town Library, he would stop in to use the computers as well as tell me about his adventures, outings and volunteer work. He brought pics to show me too.
