I send my sincere condolences to the entire Gormley family. I started as an eager, wide-eyed chemical engineer in 1999. "Uncle Bill" took me and my other colleagues under his wing and taught us to be thoughtful and responsible field engineers. Through the years, Uncle Bill always met me with a pleasant smile and a quick story, which was always entertaining, yet instructional. He will be missed, but will have a lasting affect on many young (and not so young anymore) engineers. God Bless.

I was saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a very good friend at AHS and we shared many great times. I still hear a trumpet playing and remember Bill. To his family I send prayers and my sympathy. Karen Neilson Wahab

My condolences to the Gormley family. Uncle Bill was much more than a colleague to me, but a mentor and friend. He had a passion in his work, and always took time to help those around him. We had a quirky, unique bond by having the same band type on our Tag Heuer watches, and for years he would point that out! He will be missed!

Uncle Bill, as we knew him, was always a positive force in the halls of FLSmidth. His attitude was awesome, can do, and he always was up for a challenge. Wishing his family warmest condolences during this difficult time. God Bless. Bernie Zavatone

My dear, sweet cousin Yvonne, Asa and I grieve with you and your family. How very much we have enjoyed Bill and you on the occasions we were able to spend time together. He was...and still is...a loving, terrific guy!
Our hearts rejoice with you that Bill is released from his pain here into the joy and celebration of our Lord Jesus Christ...yet we know that parting is difficult!
I wish we could be there with you..
We love you and are praying for you.
Your cousin (sister),
Linda Low

Dear Yvonne:
I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Bill’s passing. My deepest sympathies are with you in this difficult time. Please know that the family is in my prayers.
Uncle Bill was such a wonderful person, and I enjoyed working for him. We always thought it was so funny that we determined we were at the same auction house the same night 30 years before meeting each other. When I told him about the first furniture my husband and I purchased which was an antique dining room set and where the auction house was located, he exclaimed, you both were there. He described the furniture and other details of that evening. He had a good memory of things that happened years before.
I will always remember him smiling and saying, if you want to feel better, just have a silver coffee.

My deepest condolences to the Gormley family.
I fondly remember the pleasure of the time I had in Bill's company while we worked together in Shanxi, China.
From the moment of first meeting him it was clear he was a dedicated and loving family man. He was also a true gentleman, astute and earnest co-worker, and genuine friend.
He will be forever missed, but always remembered.
Sincerest sympathy,
John Terembula
