Obituary of John W. McDonnell

John W. McDonnell, 62, passed unexpectedly on September 21, 2020. Born in Bronx, NY to John Dennis and Elaine (Rudolph) McDonnell. 

After high school, John joined the United States Marine Corps. He was always an active individual who enjoyed riding his motorcycle. John travelled often in his early years and lived in Colorado for 3 years where his love of skiing grew. 

John’s family was the most important element of his life. He will be remembered for his good sense of humor, generous nature, and caring heart. John was always there to help his family either financially or emotionally. 

Predeceased by his father, John McDonnell, and sister, Diane Caprario.

To continue John’s memory is his mother, Elaine; siblings Jean (Harry) Narain, Michael (Theresa) McDonnell, Patricia McDonnell; as well as several cherished nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 27th from 2 to 4:30 PM . A Celebration on Life Service will follow at 4:30 PM. Burial with full military honors will be 11:30 on Monday at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
