David Charles Hagymas, passed away peacefully surrounded with the love of his family on September 22, 2020. Raised in Troy, NY, was the son of the late Charles Hagymas and Mary Ruth (Evancha) Martell.

David was a dedicated father and grandfather, he took advantage of each and every second he had with his family. Throughout his life, he was a true outdoorsman; playing tennis, as well as an avid fly fisherman, golfer and skier into his mid 80s. David enjoyed taking trips fly fishing, especially on the Delaware River with family and friends, and downhill skiing at the numerous mountains he favorited. For over 20 years, David participated in the STRIDE program at Jiminy Peak Mountain, where he would teach mentally and physically challenged children to ski. He also taught skiing at the Jiminy Peak ski school for many years.

The warmth and love David created was through his loving personality and humor. He had a special way of making people laugh; he was an enthusiastic storyteller and loved to laugh as well as make people laugh up until the end of his cherished life. His family will always be grateful for his spirit and forever will cherish his stories.
