Maria Husain wants to share her memories of her first job in Cleveland in 1962. Mary Ann was the head nurse when Ria first started in her first job since coming to America from the Netherlands. To this day she cherishes that memory. Mary Ann and Ria remained friends to the end. As a son, I am so thankful that Mary Ann continued to visit my mom while she was going through treatment. I have nothing but the most respect and love for Mary Ann. Roland, Patty, Didi and Darryl; I feel your loss and you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. God Speed Mary Ann. Thoughts and prayers are with the entire Jacobson family. My mom is very sad today. She asked me to send a note expressing our sincere condolences. Mom recalled meeting Mary Ann at her first job in America and her first supervisor was Mary Ann. And as it turned out, she meet one of her dear friends of a lifetime. She loved her visits from Mary Ann. Love Ria and the Husain family

Mary Ann was a wonderful friend and classmate. We have shared a special bond since 2016 when we were dealing with a significant illness but our love for each other made these last four years to be be very happy and cheerful and full of love for each other. I know you are already with the Lord Mary Ann, and I just ask that you keep a space close to you for sharing when I join you! This is a favorite picture of Mary Ann from our St. Vincent Charity Hospital School of Nursing reunion in 2016. We had such a wonderful time! As we were saying good night, Mary Ann stepped out into the rain and the wind caught her umbrella. I called to her, she smiled, and I snapped her picture. A very special memory.
