Obituary of Helene M. Bradfield
Helene Margaret Ann (Mason) “Tootsie” Mott Bradfield went to be with our Lord on December 9, 2020. She passed away peacefully at the age of 92 at home in the presence of her family. She was born in Amsterdam, New York on February 6, 1928. She will be greatly missed by all. She was the daughter of Emil and Mary Ann (Pompilio) Mason. Helene grew up in Schenectady, New York and was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She was a faithful member of Fishers Church in Rotterdam, New York and since her move to Arkansas, Calvary Chapel Twin Lakes. She loved travelling the world and taking cruises with her beloved husband Charles. She loved to read, especially the Bible, and enjoyed attending church. She loved our Lord God and was a true Christian in every sense of the word and that is how she lived her life. She also enjoyed doing cross-stitch and crocheting. Vocationally, Helene’s life was filled with outstanding and unique accomplishments. As her family we are proud of everything she did. She began her career as Secretary to the Principal of Pinewood Elementary School, working for the State of New York for several years and then for the American Embassy for 7 years in Saudi Arabia. Her last position before retirement was working for the C.I.A. during the Reagan Administration.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Robert L. Mott, her sister Carol Ann Carnevale, her son Robert C. Mott, her daughter Darlene Mott Minick, great-grandson, Kurtis W. Glasser, and her husband Charles A. Bradfield.
Survivors include her beloved daughters Bobbie Jeanne (Wayne) Palombo of Rexford, New York and Denise Mott Pasciuto of Salesville, Arkansas, her step daughter Ellen India of Sarasota, Florida, and step sons Bill Bradfield of Laguna Beach, California and David Bradfield of St. Augustine, Florida. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Jeff, Todd, Scott (Amy), Desiree and Larry, 3 Step grandchildren, Lisa (Shawn), Dana (Violet) and Jason (Jenn) 30 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandchild and 3 nephews.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic and restrictions a private funeral service will be held at Glenville Funeral Home, Glenville, New York, followed by burial at Schenectady Memorial Park. Arrangements are pending. A larger memorial service will be held in the early summer of 2021 to honor this wonderful woman.
