Dear Christina and family,
We are saddened to hear about the passing of Chet. We have fond memories of visiting with Chet and Susan at the Staufenberg's camp and other gatherings. Chet and Susan were kind, generous, and a whole lot of fun to be around. It was truly an honor to know them and have them as family friends. May your favorite memories of family times together bring you comfort and peace at this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,
Tracey Staufenberg Allen and Jay Allen

Dear Heather, Christina and Families:
I am so very sorry to hear this sad, sad news. Your Dad was an amazing man full of incredible life experiences that I had the honor of hearing at Kiwanis Club meetings when he visited us. I also know that he was loved beyond measure by all of you and that he is now at rest with Susan, a woman I was blessed to know as well. Please accept my condolences and I wish peace, strength and healing to all of you.

My heartfelt condolences. I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear about your Dad/Grandfather. I was shocked and saddened by this news, and I hope it comforts you to know that your grief is shared by all of us who knew him. He was an outstanding man and always spoke about his wonderful family. When I started at the DSIC in 2002 he became my dear friend, champion, and family, and I am better for having known him. I will still never forget him asking if he needed to go get his shillelagh to help defend me, he had a great sense of humor. He will be missed greatly and remembered often as there will never be another like him. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

We were friends and clients of your dear departed mother, and in that capacity, shared several delightful dinners with both your parents at their house or ours. Chet is remembered by us as a delightful dinner companion (and host), who could regale us on a multitude of subjects. His diverse life experiences always made for spirited conversations. Our deepest condolences go out to all of you on the passing of your father and grandfather. With sincere sympathy, Kat and George Curtis

To the Watson Family - we are so unbelievably sorry to hear of this. We love you all and hope that you can feel the love and light all around you from all of us. One of the last times I saw your dad in-person was here on our deck at our Oktoberfest, and I was so grateful that he made the trip over, after your mom passed, to spend time with us. Chet and Susan were both special people and their legacy lives on, there is no doubt. Love to you all.

My sympathies to Heather, Christine, Mike, Mark, Marie and all of the family. I have fond memories of spending so much of my younger years with all of you. Whether it was at our home or yours: Riding horses, baling hay, hide and go seek, building forts, bonfires, skiing, skating, parties, birthdays, events, filing our taxes, Proctors or just hanging out...Chet and Susan made us feel like we were part of the family. Know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. With love, Wendy and Jon.
