Obituary of Carl Forshey

Carl Forshey, 77, passed away peacefully at his home on January 10, 2021, with his loving family by his side. Born in McVeytown, Pennsylvania, he was one of eleven children born to Paul and Mary Forshey.

Carl grew up in McVeytown, Pennsylvania and attended Mount Union High School, graduating in 1962.  He married the former Pamela Jean Wagner on April 22nd, 1962. They moved to Ballston Spa, NY that same July, where they purchased and renovated their forever home while raising a family.  

Carl was employed at General Electric in Schenectady NY for over 38 years.  His passions in life included bird watching, golfing, taking beach vacations with his wife, and most importantly putting other people’s needs before his own. Mr. Forshey enjoyed the time he spent with his family and cherished his grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Donald, Gene, Paul, and Kenneth Forshey.

Survivors include his wife Pam; his children: Carl Jr (Nickie), Bryan (Lisa), and Gregory; grandchildren: Ashley, Mitchell (Kellie), Matthew, and Adam Forshey, Mykenzie Sweet, Tehya, Aiden, and Reese Forshey; his brothers John, Dean, Bill, and Jerry Forshey; and his sisters Sara Dickenson and Kathye Reiss.   

Memorial donations may be made in Carl’s name to the American Cancer Society.

A private family gathering and memorial of his life will be held.
