Obituary of Domenica Ruzza

Domenica Ruzza ,93, passed away at Albany Medical Center on Thursday July 25, 2013. Domenica was born in Castelliri, Italy in the province of Frosinone. She was the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosa Lorini. She married Vittorio Ruzza on October 20, 1940 and they came to the United States in 1966, settling in Schenectady, NY. Domenica was a housewife and mother to her children. She had a passion for cooking and gardening. Domenica was a hard working woman who was devoted to her family as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and always placed other people's needs first. Her beloved Vittorio, her daughter Maria DiPoce and sister Anna Lorini predeceased her. Survivors include her devoted children: Frank (Anna Maria), Margherita (Guilio), Gennaro (Rosalba) and Roberto (Michelle); eight cherished grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; brothers: Giuseppe, Armando and Venanzio Lorini. Funeral services will begin at 9:15 am on Tuesday July 30 from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., East Glenville and be followed at 10 am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to call on the family at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm on Monday July 29. Entombment will take place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Troy- Schenectady Rd, Niskayuna, NY.
