I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my wonderful sister-in-law Roberta (Bobbie, as we all called her.) The only contact i had with her, being that I live in Ca., were phone calls. I was always so happy when she answered the phone, as she was always so cheerful and ready for a fun chat. I cant' believe those will not be happening any more. My sincere sympathy to my brother Dan and all of his and her family. Rest in Peace my dear, you've earned it.

I am so saddened to learn of Bobbie's passing. She was a very special person who showed the patience of a saint and the kindness of an angel. I had the pleasure of knowing Bobbie when we both worked at Dansk International Designs. Her customer service skills were the best I've ever run across in my 40+ years in sales. She was genuine, kind, funny and always warm, calm and made any tense or difficult situation turn around for a happy conclusion. I cherish my memories of her and wish I could thank her for all that I learned from her. My condolences to her family and friends; her life should be celebrated by learning from her example.

Dear Uncle Dan, Lauren, Karen, Lynne, and John,I want to offer you my deepest sympathy. I have such lovely memories of Aunt Roberta at your house in Carmel. I hate to sound like a broken record, but Aunt Roberta defined Thanksgiving for me - I don't think I will ever be able to reproduce the warmth, and fun, and deliciousness of that meal at your house! She was always so gracious and welcoming - even in the midst of cooking for 16. I feel so lucky to have known her. I am thinking of you all.
All. my love,
Susan David (aka Cousin Sue)

My earliest memory is that of Roberta and Dan sitting on our sofa, laughing and teasing each other. She asked me to be her junior bridesmaid, and coerced her other attendants to chose a dress which was also flattering to me, age 12. Thus began a lifetime of mutual admiration and sharing of confidences; more like that of sisters. When she and Dan moved their family to Carmel, Roberta and I kept our bond alive with long, newsy phone calls. Her generosity while employed at Dansk was boundless, her execution of large family Thanksgiving dinners in her beloved home unforgettable. Some people, without fortune or fame, are able to leave a legacy of compassion and kindness to all those whose lives they touch: their gift to humanity. I am a better person for having known her, and mourn her passing...

What a beautiful woman and lovely person Aunt Roberta was. I will always remember her gorgeous smile, our Thanksgivings together, and catching up at Uncle Don's family days. She was kind, generous, warm and a most gracious host. My heart goes out to all of you on this great loss. Sending much love.
