Obituary of Lorraine J. Sosnowski

Lorraine J. Sosnowski, 92, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Whitehall, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Brayton) Michael. Lorraine was a graduate of the Schenectady school system and went on to continue her education at the Brady School of Nursing becoming an LPN. She enjoyed volunteering at Ellis Hospital’s psych ward, YMCA and St. George’s Episcopal Church in Schenectady where she was also a member. She was also named “Glenville Women of the Year” from the town of Glenville. Lorraine was a kind natured woman taking care of many people in her life. She will be remembered for her generous spirit. Above all, Lorraine treasured the time she was able to spend with her family.

In addition to her husband Francis “Frank” Sosnowski, she is survived by her sons Michael Warner, Jonathan Sosnowski (Kristina) and Victor Sosnowski (Amy Jones). Lorraine is also survived by her grandchildren Taylor Sosnowski, Chloe Sosnowski and Devon Heyward (Wesley) and great granddaughter Poppy Heyward. Several extended family members also survive.
