Obituary of Alfred John Peek Jr.
On Monday, February 8, 2021, Alfred John Peek, Jr. passed away after a short, but devastating fight with cancer.
John was born on June 9, 1961 to Alfred Peek and Kathleen (DiDonna) Fiala. John met Linda (Doin Pitts), in 1985, and became an integral part of her and her chidrens’ family over the following years. John and Linda were married seven years later.
John was a master electrician, a career he held his entire adult life. He was highly respected for his skill and knowledge.
John is survived by his wife Linda, children Glenn Pitts (Natasha), Carrie Menard (Phil),his mother Kathleen, stepmother Donna, sisters Charlene, Tina (Rudy), Cathi, Nikki (Heath), Vikki and Cheryl (Robert); brother David and his cousin-brother Herb Hillicus. John treasured his grandchildren Jackson, Bennett, and Nikita. He is survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also had close relationships with his many nieces and nephews.
No calling hours will be held, but a celebration of life will be held in spring or summer of 2021.
Memorial contributions in John’s name can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Protective Foundation of Schenectady.
