Obituary of Lee Steven Ramsey

 

Lee Steven Ramsey, 57 of Burnt Hills, NY passed away March 17, 2021, in Houston, Texas surrounded by his family. Born on July 24, 1963 in Little Falls, NY to Diane Robbins of Punta Gorda, Florida and Ronald Ramsey of Burnt Hills, NY.
A lifelong resident of Burnt Hills, Lee graduated from BH-BL High School in 1982. He was employed at Dick’s Glass Company, in Schenectady, NY for 14 years. In 1998, Lee became co-owner of Capitaland Glass in Burnt Hills, NY with Evan Brower, also of Burnt Hills. Lee also owned and operated Ramsey Lawncare for several years. He was devoted to his family, business and community. He enjoyed helping people any way he could and loved giving back to the community. He was a Ballston Town Planning Board member for 8 years prior to joining the Burnt Hills Fire Dept. in 2012. He also served as a Commisioner of the Fire Department until his passing. During his tenure as commissioner, Lee played an instrumental role in the relocation of CVS and the building of Burnt Hills Station 2 Firehouse.
Lee was a loving husband, proud father to Katelyn Ann and Mitchell Lee, proud Grandpa to Jack, as well as a devoted brother and son. He loved being a family man, made many lifelong friends and always valued their advice and encouragement. Lee always aimed to make you laugh and “think outside the box”. He enjoyed playing golf and entertaining his family and friends with lots of laughs. He was a true friend to all and will be missed immensely.
He is survived by his wife, Linda DeBie Ramsey of 36 years, his children, Katelyn (Eric) and Mitchell. Parents, Diane Robbins (Warren), Ronald Ramsey (Lillian) and grandsons Jack, and Leeland, expected to arrive any day. His sister Debra Nuding, brothers Mark Ramsey (Melanie) and Robert Ramsey (Renee), Bridgit Milanese (Carlo), Beth Gamble (Clark), Lance Robbins (Cheryl) and Timothy Smith. Mother-in-law, Julia DeBie, brother and sister in-laws, Kent DeBie (Donna), Sandra Farrar (Doug), Kathy Coville (Guy), Cheryl Stewart, Dale DeBie as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on April 30,2021 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road Glenville.  Funeral services will be held on May 1, 2021 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Glenville.
