Obituary of Jeanne H. Baidy

Jeanne Baidy, 80, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2021.

Born on May 30, 1940 in Schenectady, New York,  she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Olszewski) Williams. Jeanne graduated from Linton High School in 1958 and would go on to Mildred Elley School.

On April 28, 1962, Jeanne would marry her husband, the late Francis Baidy, at St. Mary's in Schenectady, where they would be longtime communicants. Jeanne was a secretary at Schenectady County Community College and retired in 2004 after 25 years of employment. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, dancing to Polka music, shopping, traveling, and had "a love of dogs and cats". Above all, she cherished her time with her beloved family, especially with her adored grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Francis, she is predeceased by her brother, Gerald Williams.

Jeanne is survived by her daughters, Roberta Zaharkin (Michael) of Spencerport, NY, Dr. Kathleen Crowe (Russell) of Ballston Lake and Theresa Baidy of Glenville; grandchildren, Zachary and Megan Zaharkin and Abigail Crowe; sister-in-law, Barbara Williams; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd., Glenville, from 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 9 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Road Glenville. Burial will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
