Obituary of Lavita Marshall

Lavita D. Marshall GlenvilleLavita D. Marshall (Nee: Droms), 87, of Birch Lane, died August 2, 2013 at Baptist Health and Rehabiltation Center, following a long illness. Born in Schenectady on December 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Smith Droms. Lavita was a secretary for 30 plus years at GE before leaving in 1981. She was married on July 10, 1954 to her beloved husband, Louis T. Marshall, who survives. Lavita and Lou have lived in Glenville since their marriage, belonging to the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Survivors also include several nieces and nephews across the U.S. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, August 5, at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. (Route 50). There will be no calling hours. Interment, Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the church are most appreciated.
