Obituary of Peter L. Micieli

Micieli, Peter L. “Mickey”, 67, of Vischer Avenue in Schenectady, NY, entered eternal life, after a brief illness.

Mickey was born in Goshen, NY on September 15, 1953. He was the beloved son of the late Victor and Dolly Micieli of Walden, NY and brother of the late Tina Bianchi. He is survived by his wife of nearly 18 years, Beth Legorius Micieli, his sons Peter Micieli (Khalan) and Christopher Micieli (Jennifer), step-daughter Audra Carpenito (Lenny), step-sons Joseph Amorosi and Brett Amorosi (Ashley), his 6 beloved grandchildren, Chloe Micieli, Vinny Micieli, Anthony Micieli, L.J. Carpenito, Jovie Micieli, and Maxwell Micieli, his late sister Tina’s husband Vince Bianchi and their daughter Lisa Merritt (Jason), their son Theo, sister-in-law Joan Duell (Rick), their children Jared Duell (Kimberley) and Nate Duell (Kari). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews that he loved dearly.

Mickey was a graduate of Valley Central High School in Montgomery, NY and Manhattan College. Mickey was employed by Racklyn Paint and Wallpaper, Latham Paint, and Plank Construction. In his later years, he enjoyed traveling with Beth around the northeast, and in particular their yearly trips to Maine. He loved golfing with his many friends, fishing, cooking, and cheering on his beloved Mets, Jets, Knicks, and Rangers. What made him most happy was being with his grandchildren. Mickey was a kind and gentle person, who endured many years of health issues with dignity and courage. Anyone who knew Mickey would say, “He was just a nice guy”.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 1 from 10am-12pm, immediately followed by a service by the Reverand Yervant Kutchukian. at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Road in Glenville, NY.
