Obituary of Michael Vincent Fazio
Michael Vincent Fazio, 62, of Charlton, entered the gates of heaven peacefully on July 14, 2021. Born in Pittsfield, MA, to James and Marie (Ancora) Fazio. In 1967, he moved to Owego, NY where he made most of his childhood memories.
A 1976 graduate of Shenendehowa CSD, he later became employed at the United States Postal Service. For nearly 30 years, Michael worked at the Clifton Park and Halfmoon post office, his friendly smile and kindness will be remembered.
In 1990, he married the love of his life, the former Ruth Brucker. Together they created a foundation of faith and family, which grew with the love of their 6 daughters.
Throughout his life, Michael was dedicated to his Catholic faith. His love for Jesus and the life values he lived by were passed on to his children, whom will continue his legacy with his grandchildren.
Michael was a musician, he enjoyed singing and playing the guitar in his church choir. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. His gentle, loving and humble personality will be missed by all who knew him.
Predeceased by his mother, Marie Fazio and mother-in-law, Kathleen Brucker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Fazio; his father, James Fazio, father-in-law, Gerald Brucker, and step mother-in-law Kathleen Brucker; cherished daughters, Mary (Joseph) Nally, Monica (Josh) Duquette, Elizabeth Fazio, Nicole Fazio, Anne Fazio and Kathleen Fazio; grandchildren, Lydia, Noah, Jesse and Abigail Nally, and two on the way; his siblings, Paula (Donny) Furr, James (Francine) Fazio, Christine (Edward) Dijohn, John (Susan) Fazio; in-laws, Jerry Brucker, Colleen (Craig) Strack and Karen Scheffler, step in-laws, Larry Jr. (Debbie) Lawson, Kerry (Steve) Frank, Tom (Marie) Lawson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held at the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. on Monday, July 19th, from 4 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Ballston Spa on Tuesday, July 20th, at 10 AM. Burial will follow Mass at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Schenectady Right to Life, PO Box 9231, Schenectady NY 12309, a not-for-profit organization Michael advocated for.
