Obituary of Jenae Marie Aragosa

Jenae Marie Aragosa, 37, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2021. Born in Schenectady on June 23, 1984, she was the beloved daughter of Patrick and Susan Aragosa. Jenae graduated from Scotia-Glenville high School's class of 2002 and received her Associate of Arts degree from FIDM in California, majoring in graphic design. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, from University of South Florida.  Jenae worked as a childcare provider for most of her adult life. Jenae had a special love of animals, especially her Siamese cat named "Lion Boy." She was always known to be caring for a stray cat or two wherever she lived.

Jenae’s life passion was achieved through helping others. Jenae’s personal life experiences led her to be a strong advocate for domestic violence victims and the disabled. Her hobbies included; original creations of mixed media artwork and designing shoes and handbags.

She was predeceased by her beloved uncle Paul Aragosa in May of this year. Jenae was also predeceased by her grandparents Americo and Jean Aragosa and Marylin (Bublak) Lyall

Survived by her parents, her brother Nicolas (Alyssa) Aragosa and sister Ashlyn Aragosa; her grandparents William and Susan Lyall and step-grandmother Joann Aragosa; her uncle Peter (Laurie Vane) Aragosa, her aunt, Maria Aragosa (John Chakmakas) and aunt Zenaida Aragosa. Survivors also include several cousins.

Services will be privately held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in the Aragosa Family Plot at St. Cyril-Methodius Cemetery in Rotterdam.
