Obituary of Timothy E. Williams

Timothy (Tim) E. Williams, 59 of Glenville, passed away on July 13, 2021 after a short illness.  Tim grew up in Clearwater FL, where he became an avid fisherman & a builder of custom rods. Tim gave up the tropical heat for the adventures of upstate NY. He loved all the lakes & rivers; and that an hour, in any direction, would put him in the mountains.

Tim is survived by his soulmate of over 20 years, Beth VanSchaick of Glenville. Tim is also survived by his mother, Linda S Williams of Clearwater FL, Ruth (mom) VanSchaick of Glenville, brothers Tom (Steph)Williams  of independence VA, Dave (Shirley) VanSchaick and Paul (Linda) VanSchaick both of Rexford. He is also survived by his sisters Alice Williams of Groves Texas and Linda Rae of Clearwater, as well as a plethora of nieces & nephews.

Tim is predeceased by George (Dad) VanSchaick, his brother Nick Williams and Barbara and Arnold Stansel with whom Tim spent much of his childhood.

Tim was employed by CVS of Glenville where he held positions of shift supervisor and lead photo technician. His expertise in the photo lab earned him several Kodak awards of excellence.

For over 15 years Tim was also a volunteer with the Rexford Fire Auxiliary, where he held the position of auxiliary president for one year.

Tim‘s legacy will be the foot prints he left and in the Eagle Scouts he mentored in Burnt  Hills troop 356. Tim served as an assistant scoutmaster, committee chair and commissioner. In lieu of flowers Tim wished donations be made to Burnt Hills troop 356- the Herald Knox fund , C/O BHUMC 816 Saratoga Rd, Burnt Hills NY 12027
